 This was truly a timely gift from God. I so needed to be away and in nature for a few days. I needed something that would allow me to care for my frail dependent mother and still have a nature experience. An RV was the thing that allowed us to do this. This was my 1st RV experience, Mom's too! I called July 5th to inquire on my desired RV & need for wanting something that week. I had such an itch to get away in nature and behind just the RV I had researched and found out the RV was available! The rental rep I spoke to was as accommodating as well as the service tech that cleaned the RV. Mom and I had a wonderful and memorable 4 days - I'll never forget it. The timing was perfect.  My wife and I had been on the search for an RV for just about a year. We ended up doing alot of Internet searching through north America & found the best selection of RV's @ General RV. I started chatting online line with Matt Olds "The Savings Ranger". Thanks to Matt, I finally had a decision made on the style of RV I was going with.

Then the big one, prices. This ended up being the easiest part of the whole thing. Matt was very forward with pricing and after getting the initial prices from him did further research and no one else was even in the ballpark.

We are from Edmonton, Alberta & have a one year old daughter. The unit we decided on was in Michigan. We thought it would be a good family trip to drive it 4000km across the country for a vacation.

Matt had to work for his money now, The Lindberg's were coming for their RV. He went more than out of his way to accommodate our schedules and lack of knowledge on what we were getting into. From cross border paperwork, prepping the RV, tracking us on our flights, picking us up at the airport, having everyone in place at the dealership to make an efficient delivery, taking us shopping for basic necessities & arranging supper for us, setting up the RV for the night (ready to go) in the dealership lot and arriving back at the RV early in the morning to ensure everything was good & brought the on site techs to the camper to answer any final questions we came up with through the the night. I would like all to know (including the dealership), How much time out of Matts personal schedule he put into this sale.

We would like to thank Matt Olds & General RV for all of the "Extra" efforts put into this experience. I would strongly recommend that if you are in the market for an RV to contact Matt & I for one would not put the extra effort into looking anywhere else again on my next purchase. Thanks Matt.

Blue Ridge We attended the RV Sports Show in Salt Lake City, UT, last weekend. The people at General RV are the greatest. We were not sure exactly what we wanted. Edna was so patient and understanding. As we wandered thru all the 5th wheels there was always someone there to answer any questions. They were just awesome. I can not remember everyone that helped us, but I do know that we spoke with Brian, Mike, Rhett, Ken and of course Edna. We put a deposit on a 5th wheel. After we got home we decided it was to long for what we wanted. We held our breath as I called to tell them that we wanted to go with something smaller. There was no need for worry. They were the best and even told us that if we found something that was not at general rv we would get our deposit back. Of course the customer service was so great that we just transferred the deposit to a smaller 5th wheel that fit our needs perfectly. They even gave me a call on Mon. to let me know how things were going with the sale and delivery of our new 5th wheel. A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT GENERAL RV AND TO EDNA IN MICHIGAN.

I would like to acknowledge the kindness and professionalism we received from your staff at General RV in Wixom, MI. We traveled to Michigan from Virginia with the intent of purchasing a motor home. We were greeted by Dave Gornall, whom we had been talking to about the purchase. He was so helpful on the phone that we decided to travel to Michigan to purchase our RV. Bill, in Service, gave us a very informative guide through the motor home. As it turned out, we changed our minds and decided not to purchase it. Our down-payment was returned and total courtesy was shown to us. We returned home to Virginia and realized we had made a mistake. We called Dave back and he was just as kind and patient as before. We told him we would be back the following week to purchase the RV! This is what we did and have been very happy with it. Due to Hurricane Irene we spent our next two days in the RV where we still had lights, refrigeration, air conditioning and TV, things we usually take for granted. I am writing to let you know about the excellent treatment that my wife and I received at the service department of your Brownstown dealership. We purchased our Class A motor home from your dealership just about seven years ago. We recently had the skylights replaced, a full RV check for leaks and a new cable run to the rear TV. We picked it up on Saturday. We decided to go on a short trip and made reservations. I put water in it on Sunday and found that a 90 degree plumbing connection had failed at the hot water bypass. We bought some repair parts at Lowes that didn't work. On Monday morning I bought some more repair parts, but they didn't work either. I called Tanya in your service department. She said they were swamped, but we could bring it over, drop it off and get an estimate. We got to your dealership just before lunch. The gentleman in the service department said, "Let me have one of my guys look at at it rather than having you leave it here." Matt repaired it in the parking lot! We made our camping reservation on Monday evening. I have also received excellent treatment in your parts department from Scott, Bob and the others. Your people are great! Thanks,

I just want to let someone know how awesome of a guy Troy in the service department @ Birch Run is. From the initial drop-off of my unit, to his follow-ups on what the service techs found, to him calling me upon completion, he's been very friendly and professional. Your service department is also very efficient! I dropped the unit off Monday evening at 4:00, and the 4 items on the punch out list are done by 11:30 on Wednesday! My only regret is that I didn't buy my trailer from Birch Run. Next time, I'll go to one of the metro stores to stay in the General family!!!

Brett, All I can say is wow! That is just a wonderful camper. We couldn’t be happier. You would not believe how many people came up to us on this past trip. That thing really sticks out from the rest of them (almost too much). It’s like we are on display. Out of all the things that this camper has the outside kitchen is probably the most valuable thing. What a convenience to have all that stuff outside. The tow was very impressive. It is amazing to see how much that camper is moving and you don’t feel it in the truck. Thanks again for everything. I would just like to share our experience at your Brownstown location. We went in Thursday night to look at purchasing a used RV. We had been looking for awhile and hadn't had much luck. Brian was our salesperson and was extremely helpful and kind even though our price range wasn't very high. He did his best to work with our price range. When we said we had to think about, he was still extremely kind without making the sale. We ending up going back and purchasing a trailer. Your mechanics were awesome when it came to finding a problem and again very helpful. Overall we had a great experience and will only be shopping at General RV for our camping needs (even though there are 2 other stores closer to us) and will refer our friends there. I just thought I would share since most people like to share the bad experiences.

Hi, I just picked up my 5th wheel from your Birch Run store after having some warranty work done on it. I am very pleased with the work that was done. I also wanted to bring to the company's attention, two of your employees who go above and beyond. Jackie, the service advisor, is a very sweet and friendly young lady, who goes out of her way to be helpful. Lori, in parts, is just as sweet, friendly and helpful. She always has a big smile, a hello and a story for me every time I come in. I should mention Sid and Rusty. Sid talked to me on the phone twice, telling me about everything that they were working on. I really appreciated that. And as for Rusty, although he and my wife butted heads when they first met (I guess that's bound to happen when you get two salespeople together), everthing worked out and we got a great deal (I love my new home away from home by the way.) Our 2012 Voltage fifth wheel purchase is our first from General RV in Wayland. My wife, Nancy and I, had three trailers to date. The last one being a new purchase as well from a dealer in Muskegon. We had begun shopping around for a new toy hauler. Nancy and I had found a couple we were serious about and after talking with Glenn, we decided on the Voltage from General RV. Although price is always taken into consideration, was Glenn's personal representation of his salesmanship and his proud references of how General RV in Wayland takes care of its customers that sold us on this unit. He was right. Amanda and Joe in Parts are fantastic people to do business with. Amanda was very honest with the wife and I as to which products were of a better quality and would serve us better. The walk-through with Josh was all that I expected it to be. Josh was very polite and understood this is our first Fifth Wheel and was very good at teaching us the hook/unhook procedure. The walk-through was very thorough. After having the new beast home for a few days, Jim in service called to inform me that there is a recall on the fuel system for the generator. He was very accommodating as to when I could return it to have the recall done. I was there in just a couple of hours to have it done. Jim noticed something amiss with one of the slideouts and stated that he would have that checked as well during the recall repair. With the recall being done and the slideout checked, I was set to go in about an hour and 15 minutes. Impressive. I must say, I have seen several of the General RV employees during my few visits there and am very impressed at how polite and welcoming everyone is. Kind, friendly smiles. Sincere. Cindy and I are 100% disabled from our wounds suffered overseas...we both had the dream, as all do, to have adventure and travel the Country we Love and fought for. Being disabled we had certain concerns. We met Bob Moss at your Wixom location. We already had an idea of what we wanted and on the hottest day of the summer Bob, Cindy and I searched and found just what we wanted and more. We have never owned a travel trailer and when you're at the peak of anxiety, not knowing if you can even do it or not, they made you feel right at home and comfortable. Well I made it down to Ohio and back (3800 km or 2375 miles) and in one piece. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was. I know there are no establishments here in New Brunswick, Canada that can hold a candle to your overall package.

We were looked after from the second we stepped in the door. They quickly lined up a walk through with Jay and Brandon who were extremely thorough in their details. We then went into the parts section and picked up everything we needed for the trailer were basically on our way.

Again I can’t thank you enough for the awesome experience. Not sure if the wife knows it yet or not, but you may see me again in the next couple of years. I will also spread the news to anyone that will listen.

I just wanted to let you know about the excellent service we received recently at the Wayland location. The salesman, Larry Klunder, was very helpful and knowledgeable as we looked at replacement coaches for our 2008 Open Road that was completely destroyed in a flood. Josh Cooper did a great job with the all paperwork involved. Also, back in 2008, he recommended we get replacement insurance with Foremost Insurance on the Open Road, and we are very grateful we heeded his advice! And Sales Manager Bruce Ter Veen was great! He kept calling the insurance company and keeping things moving along, so as to expedite the transaction. All the people at this location, from service department personnel to the associates working in the store, are informed and obviously dedicated to ensuring that customers get the best treatment possible. We are very happy with our new 2011 Forest River Cardinal, and plan to continue an ongoing relationship with Wayland General RV for all our RV needs.

I want to take the time to express my sincere thanks to your Service Advisor, Tim Geier at your North Canton, Ohio location. We purchased a Heartland Bighorn on March 12th, 2011, at the RV Show in Columbus. We went to North Canton to finalize the paperwork and do a walk thru the following week. I personally made a list of things that needed repairs before delivery. Unfortunately, the person we spoke to left the company which caused some major miscommunication after delivery was made.

What I didn't expect was to be told I would be paying to transport the unit back in order to complete the repairs and this was unsettling at the least. However, through several phone calls and emails, your Service Advisor, Tim Geier, understood where there was definitely a miscommunication and handled the situation very professionally. Our RV was picked up and redelivered at no charge with all the repairs completed within 7 days. We had constant communication from Tim keeping us up to date on the status of the repairs. The customer service we received from Tim was excellent and he even went the extra mile to ensure us that he would personally do a walk thru before final delivery.

Tim has definitely restored my faith in excellent customer service being provided and my desire to refer our family and friends to General RV Center. It was so refreshing to have a Service Advisor who understood my concerns and frustrations, but most of all took the time to make sure every detail was handled properly. We are very pleased with Tim Geier and General RV Center and look forward to doing business in the future.

I just wanted to complement your company on your customer service. I ordered the Stick on States map from your online store. The picture on the page showed the solid color states, but the item I received was the new version with the license plates. While it did take me a couple tries to get ahold of the right person, but once I did Chris Pitt was extremely helpful. He immediately confirmed that only the new version of the map was available and said I could return the item for a refund. He scheduled a FedEx pickup for the next day (so I wouldn't have to repay the shipping charge for the return) and to my surprise, when my original purchase was refunded it was for the entire amount - including the initial shipping charge. This is the kind of service that keeps customer coming back, and yours will definitely be on my list of places to buy from in the future.

We took possession of our Clipper following an extensive demonstration of all systems in our unit. I had to take a little time to tell you about our experience with your Wayland, MI staff, especially Larry Klunder and Bruce TerVeen. We have spent the past 2.5 years looking for a motor home. Our parameters were very narrow regarding size, style, price, etc., but we knew "our" motor home was out there somewhere. During that time I have visited many dealerships and talked to many salespeople and let me tell you some of those experiences were not very good. I had just lost out on a motor home in California so I thought I would visit websites again - that is where I found the little BT Cruiser at your Wayland lot. Saturday morning we called to make sure it was still available and made the 3 hour trip there. Upon arriving we were introduced to Larry Klunder who already had the unit warmed up and ready to go for a test drive. After driving it we decided it was almost perfect for us. Larry went through the unit with us and answered all our questions honestly (really honestly) without giving us any "salesman" talk. He made us feel like we were talking to a friend who was knowledgeable about the product and wasn't just out to "make the sale". He was wonderful! It didn't take us long to put the deal together with Larry. Every step of the process was enjoyable. Larry introduced us to Bruce TerVeen, who gave us options regarding financing and insurance. Bruce was polite and didn't try to pressure us into anything we did not want. He respected our point of view while giving us our options. While we were waiting for the paperwork to be processed Larry took us to meet the people in the store area and helped us pick out just the right equipment for our motor home. Not one person tried to sell us something we did not need - it was amazing to be treated so well by everyone there. Once the paperwork was complete we met with the business person (I regret that I did not get his name). Again we were treated with great respect. We were done in just a few minutes. We did purchase your insurance for the unit because it offered the most coverage for the least amount of money. Talk about a 1-stop-shop. Great way to diversify. We were offered the opportunity to take delivery at the Birch Run store, which is only a 40 minute drive from home, but opted to go back to Wayland to take delivery and get the orientation there because we want Larry to be a part of that too, he has truly gained our trust and loyalty. So, we will take delivery of our very first motor home, on February 21 and we can't be more excited. You should be particularly proud of your Wayland, MI store. They are professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and most importantly - trustworthy. Especially Larry Klunder - He is truly a General RV Gem. Sandy, Thanks for setting me up with the factory today. It worked out great. We got there about 1:30. They were getting off at 2:30, but 3 or 4 of them hit it and got everything fixed. The slide-out turned out to be not so serious. A piece of crown molding from above the bunks came partially free yesterday. When we opened the slide it pulled it completely off. The molding fell on top of the slide-out, so when we went to close the slide, it couldn't close all the way. They got the piece out and replaced it. I can't tell you how pleased I am with General RV. You, Geoff and Larry have been great. I don't have many friends looking for RV's, but if anyone starts, I'll recommend they consider giving you a call. I just had to drop you a note to let you know how much we appreciated the help from Carlo when we were trying to find holding tanks for our motor home. We bought our 1986 Jayco motor home a couple of months ago. We traveled to Erie, PA to get it (we live in Dover, OH), got it home on a Monday and on Thursday evening we decided to take it camping for the first time. We swung by my brother's house and while we were there a lady ran into the back of it and totalled it out. I couldn't believe it! We wound up buying it back from the insurance company and have been fixing it back up ever since. We are down to the holding tanks and have called several people and have been to a couple of places to try to find out what tanks we needed. NO ONE knew and they didn't really act like they were interested in doing the looking, or calling Jayco to find out what we needed. We were desperate and very frustrated. We made a trip up to General RV and we talked to Carlo. He told us to give him some info and he would try to see what he could do. At the time I thought he was the nicest person and really seemed interested in helping us. I called him with the info last week, but he said it would be a couple of days because of the open house you had. Low and behold, he called this week and had the best news of all! He found us the correct size holding tanks!!!!! He worked with Jayco and actually did the research for us to find these tanks.I can't tell you what a valuable employee you have there. He was so nice to us when we came up to your showroom and when we asked questions in regard to what we possibly needed in the way of hoses and valves for these tanks (we haven't camped before and he explained and showed us how these worked, there were no manuals in the motor home either to refer to). We have ordered the tank and I'm sure Carlo will help us with instructions on the installation. I'm sure we will be doing more business there. Just a note to pass along regarding some of the most considerate, prompt and professional maintenance service I have ever encountered in 10 years and over 100,000 miles. A strong wind whipped our entrance door out of my wife's hand and moved the door alignment just enough to be a real pain. The door release handle became very hard to unlatch, and the remote keyless entry would not lock or unlock the door. Also, I found a fuel stain on the concrete under the genset and my satellite dish started having trouble locking on. We were in the Detroit area, so last Friday I called General RV Center in Brownstown, MI, told them that we are full timers and that we needed help. Despite this being their busiest time of the year, they scheduled me in on Monday morning at 9:00. They realigned and lubricated the door latches, found and fixed a small fuel leak in the genset and reprogrammed the dish software, all by 11:00! Their people were professional, prompt and courteous above and beyond any possible expectations. As I have stated in the past, I have found during my travels that some dealerships can be arrogant, inflexible and not overly competent. They could use some lessons from this outstanding dealership. I am not hesitant to criticize poor service, but also believe giving credit where credit is due!

Please pass this message on to your management team. We are full time RVers and found that we had an issue with our unit while staying in the White Lake, MI area. We stopped at your store on M59 and met Ray Arnett. Not being an established customer we were concerned that the service would not be up to standard. BUT we found just the opposite. With his help and working with your service team we identified the problem, your parts people ordered the part and Matt Otterbine, your technician, completed the installation. Hi Spence, I would be remiss if I did not comment on Brian's sincere and friendly response to our questions and concerns. To me, it's all about people. I spent most of my 40+ working years in some aspect of customer service with IBM, HP, and Accenture. While I always ensure that my customers received the best possible service, I also believed that my primary role was to be an advocate for the customer. Subsequently, when I'm looking for some service or product, especially at the higher end, I look for that same attitude in the people with which I will be dealing. I truly believe that if they really care about me and my satisfaction, then the rest will be handled on an on-going and as needed basis. We first met Brian at a smaller RV show early in the year. I was impressed by his patience and sincere response to our questions and concerns. Then we heard about the larger RV show, where we purchased our new rig. Quite candidly, if it wasn't for how Brian treated us and his genuine sense of caring for his customer, we would not have attended the second show. By the way, you also fall into that same category my friend. If it had not been for your demeanor and friendly treatment of us at the show, we would have never signed the contract. Last Saturday we took our first trip in our used Damon Daybreak. On Saturday morning we popped a breaker. Even though I am quite handy, I could not locate the breaker box. After searching for a Damon dealer I found the number for your Wayland location. I called and the person who answered was very cordial and said the person who could help me was with a customer but would call me back. A few minutes later I received a call and explained my problem. The service person said he would walk the lot and look for a similar model and call me back. About ten minutes later he told me where to find the breaker. It was behind a grill that looked like a heater outlet. You should be very proud of your staff and I was completely WOWED with the service I received. Your location is on my list if I need any service or parts. Unfortunately I did not get the employee's name but he receives my vote for employee of the month. Thank you very much.

It was by luck that Robert assisted us when we first came into General RV center in Brownstown, and we were so thankful that we were able to work with him. After hearing many concerns from other RV owners of "hard sales pitch" and "pressure to buy" at General RV, we were very reluctant to visit the center. I am happy to say that our experience could not have been further from the truth. Robert was ready to listen to what we wanted from the very beginning never did he try to sell us to something that we could not afford or would not meet our family's needs. On the contrary, Robert proved the greatest resource in making an informed decision. He continuously provided knowledge and information comparing and contrasting RVs with the benefits and draw backs, pointing out things that we would not think of in the moment but agreed would matter once we got to a camp site. He even helped to make it a positive experience for my children when they were with us, talking to them and making them laugh - not just "putting up" with them. After we had thought we identified the right camper, we needed to upgrade our vehicle to meet the towing capacity, and Robert again was beyond helpful. He worked with us- going as far and above that was necessary- to research towing capacities for vehicles we were considering, and even made himself available for the auto dealer to contact with additional questions. Throughout this process, Robert remained kind, patient, and informative as we navigated our way through the next steps. Even after we obtained our car, and at the last minute second guessed our RV decision, Robert never once grew impatient or tried to force our selection. Being able to rely on Robert, and thrust his level of integrity and honesty was the most beneficial part of our experience. We did decide on the new 2010 camper that we had initially picked out, and Robert never once faltered that we were looking at a less expensive used model. Robert's words to us remained "I am here to help you find the right camper for your family. If it's not right for you then I didn't do my job. That means everything from layout to price." This type of customer service not only made our buying decision much easier, it has created a General RV customer for life. We look forward to creating a lifetime of memories for our children in our new RV. I wanted to thank you and your staff for our recent RV shopping experience. We have been camping for over 22 years, we tent camped then upgraded to a pop up and then finally a bunk house. We were very happy with the Sportsmen but it just didn't fit our needs any longer. We wanted the portability that a slide in truck camper offered. We started shopping we were very insulted and didn't feel welcome at one of your competitors just north of your Canton store mostly because we were not spending big dollars on a class A. I am writing this letter to express my satisfaction with General RV in general from my first encounter over the internet to my last service appointment in Jacksonville, Florida. Usually people write or call to complain. I believe when a job is well done, it should be commended also (maybe more importantly). It was my experience with General RV in Jacksonville that prompted me to write this letter even though it is tardy. The service manager, Chuck Kline, was most helpful, courteous, and personable. On my way to Florida this past February, I experienced a repeated problem with my Norcold refrigerator. It kept going to "N" code. As I was getting off the ramp to stop at my son's house, I noticed the General RV sign just off of highway 295 South. I called Norcold and they told me to take it to a dealer. I called General rand was transferred to Chuck. He was most helpful. He told me to bring it in the next day. I did and his technician, Lawrence, diagnosed and fixed the problem as they had the part on hand. He and Chuck not only fixed it but took the time to explain what was wrong and what had occurred so that I could understand what had taken place. They made me feel special by taking that extra time like with a friend or family member not just a job to finish. I later had to return my motorhome to the dealership. I made an appointment with Chuck to check out the TV reception. Again, Chuck did everything he could to accommodate me and take care of my problem - even coming in early Monday morning so I could get an early start home. In both cases, Chuck did everything to help get things expedited with my extended warranty company to try to save me money. Sandy, the internet salesperson, was another example of the super people you have on staff. She was most friendly and helpful I felt like I was dealing with a friend in the process of buying the motorhome. She was never in a hurry and always ready to answer any question I had before the sale. I would highly recommend General RV for sales or service to all my RV friends. Thank you.

I wanted to let everyone know about the problems, and the fixes I ran into on the last year of my camping experience. It all started when the wife and I decided to retire and go camping more often and for longer amounts of time. We knew our 26ft. 5th Wheel wouldn’t be large enough for a 2-3 month trip so we started hitting all the camping shows and put in an order for a 36ft. 5th Wheel in which we found that had almost all of the things we had said were important to us. We also fell in love with Sherry Corne, the sales person (now a sales manager) and the way she presented the unit, all the pro’s and how well it was built, etc.We waited almost 2 months for our new rig to be built and then we took delivery and for the most part was happy but there were a few snags we had to work thru, but we spent most of the summer catching up on the things around the house, which needed to be done before we could start our big adventure. Well, December came and we left looking for new places with lots of fun.In the next 3 months we had over 90 major problems with this unit and although General RV did everything within the power to get things right the problems just kept mounting and my frustrations got worse and worse. General RV told me I was having more problems with this one unit than all the rest of the owners combined, although, this didn’t help me one little bit.The builder finally agreed after many long and heated phone calls to take the unit back and send it down the line and try to repair the problems and get things right, well that didn’t work and after shipping it back to General RV and going through the unit I decided the only recourse was to sue, but I knew this was going to be a long and costly experience which I really didn’t want to pursue. General RV stated they didn’t want to lose me as a customer and would do whatever they could to get m e out of this unit and into a unit I would be happy with. I talked with the wife for a while and we decided to give them another try as most of the problems were related to the building of the unit and not from service.Once again Sherry told me I should look at a Pilgrim Open Road because it was not only a better unit than what I had but the company would stand behind it in a much better way than the one I had. After looking at the unit, comparing all the things it had an what our needs were we entered into negotiations sort of (Sherry made an offer that knocked off my socks) she said because of all the problems we had General RV was willing to try and make us happy again, and they did.We have been gone about 2 months but ran into a problem with the water pump while in Florida and so I called Jason in the service dept. and he said he would call Pilgrim and see what could be done. In 2 days I got a phone call from David Hilliker from Pilgrim working with me in getting this fixed so we could continue our trip, well he couldn’t get us into a shop so he had us call a traveling repair person to get us fixed, it was a bad pump and a leaky fresh water tank. David had a new pump sent next day and replaced and also said he would get the tank worked on if needed but I told him I knew the problem and would keep the tank less that half full until we got back home and then would turn the unit in to General RV and have Jason finish with the repairs.It is great when you can work with people who go to this extreme to make you happy, it is a shame that I can’t tell in this who made the substandard unit that we started with but I am proud to let everyone know who made the one I now have and also the people who worked so hard to get me in this unit.

My husband and I want to take a few minutes to let you know how pleased we have been with all of our motor home repair encounters at General RV in Wayland Michigan. Our first experience was over a year ago with a refrigerator recall on our Holiday Rambler Endeavor. Initially we took it to another RV place for the required repair - that place didn't fix it correctly and in fact broke something else. We brought it to General RV in Wayland and were met by Jim Guinn who assurred us that they could fix it correctly - we were waiting to go north for vacation and he knew how important it was for us to get it fixed as soon as possible. We have also had our motor home there about a week ago for water heater thermostat replacement and are very impressed with how quickly the problem was diagnosed and fixed. We were in your store on Friday, March 12, 2010 and were looking at a variety of things for our fifth wheel. One of the things happened to be a louvered tailgate for our pickup. We found what appeared to be just what we were looking for but were unsure of the model number because the truck is an "07" with a old style body. Laurie called Handy Industries however, the company was closed for the day. Laurie would not give up. There was a customer's truck in the parking lot and Laurie ran to ask the customer is we could look at his tailgate. We were still unsure. Laurie then asked an employee if we could try the tailgate on his truck to see if it would fit. Laurie carried the tailgate out and helped try it on the truck to make sure it fit. I want to give a big THANK YOU to General RV of Orange Park, FL. We We were trying to make a deal on a Forest River Work & Play 25 ULA at another dealer in south Florida. I was searching the internet and gave General RV a call. I spoke to a super nice guy, Ken Alltop. He took all my information on the unit I saw advertised on their website and the information on our trade. He said he would give us a call back. Well, 20 minutes later the general manager, Alan Dulberger returned my call. He cut to the chase and not only gave me a great price, but a very fair deal on our trade. He faxed us a purchase agreement that my husband and I reviewed over dinner. On Monday, I contacted their finance manager, Angela Bischoff, who took all my information and was going to take care of our financing. She was very efficient and a sweetheart! By Tuesday, we had an appointment to pick up our new toy hauler. When we arrived for our appointment, we were personally greeted by Alan and Ken and then met with Kurt, one of their technicians, to give us our walk through. Kurt was knowledgeable and very thorough. We found a few minor issues, but it was no big deal and Kurt was on it. After the walk through, we met with Angela and finalized the paperwork. All in all, we were in and out in 2 hours!! General RV runs a smooth operation. It was painless! You always wait for the other shoe to drop, but to leave with our new toy hauler and everything going as planned was shocking! This is a very large thank-you to Edna Greco and General RV. Edna really new the products she represented at the RV show. I actually went on the web to verify if she gave facts or a sales pitch. Edna gave the facts and not a bunch of false or misleading information to make a sale. We were looking nationally at RVs and simply felt that General would be the best choice. This decision was made due to Quick response from Edna, General RV management, great pricing and having multiple locations with one in Florida where the new RV will be. My husband Bob and I recently purchased a new motor home from the General RV store in Orange Park, FL. I wanted to write and tell you how much we enjoyed the entire process. The personnel at the store are amazing! I can’t think of enough good things to say about all of them. I had stopped there on a whim to look at some Class C motor homes. I was greeted by Harry Rosenberg who was more than happy to show me around. After I looked at a number of Class C’s, I decided to check out the new Class A’s and found one that I really liked. Please keep in mind that we really had no intention of purchasing a new motor home. We had one that I was happy with. I came back a few days later with my husband and the purchasing process began. We dealt with Alan Dulberger and Bob Green. My husband & I purchased our very first RV on Nov. 13, 2009. At the urging of our friends and family, we stopped at General to look at just what RV’s had to offer. We had never experienced camping or RVing, so we were very lucky that Bill Snay approached us. We asked a thousand “dumb” questions about everything as Bill showed us the different classes of RV’s. Due to Bill’s knowledge and patience, we ended up purchasing a unit. It is a pleasure for me to write this letter of commendation on behalf of several of your employees in Orange Park, Florida, who have displayed exemplary and professional service to me and should be commended. My second was purchased directly from Gulf Stream that I purchased directly from the factory. Both were class C's with no slides. My wife and I are members of FMCA and two other RV groups and we RV about 8 times a year and quickly realized we needed a RV with slides. We were extremely impressed with the professionalism and uniform presentation of all three. This past week we went camping with our local group, The Trekkers, and loved every moment. The next morning, I received a telephone call from Chuck from the Orange Park, Florida branch giving me assistance to the problem I wrote about. He was very thorough and friendly. I would like to take this opportunity and say "Thank you". I had an issue with my refrigerator on my Fleetwood Wilderness Lite camper. I called your store and talked to Barbara about having service performed and having my refrigerator checked out. Barb had informed me that you have an open door policy about drive in service. I told her that I would be to your store location sometime after noon. When I pulled into your store and into your yard, I was greeted by Candice one of your service writers and Don one of the mechanics, or technicians on duty for the day. I was treated with respect and they listened to my problem and concern about my refrigerator not working properly. I was put at ease and given an absolute warm welcome with coming into your store for service. Candice informed me that my refrigerator was actually a model that had a recall, or service notice on for an upgrade. Don performed the upgrade, recall notice on it and then checked out the system and found that I had a faulty electrical sensor. While having the service performed on my camper, my family and I walked around your show room and parts accessory area. I purchased a few items while I was there and ordered the part for shipment to my home. While we looked around your showroom at the floor models your sales staff were very professional and friendly to us. We were not hassled about having someone follow us around, we were not bothered while we looked in and around your models. We spoke to a couple of your sales people on the floor and made comments on how nice it was not to have someone trying to pressure sell us. Amanda in parts was very friendly and courteous to my daughter and my family. Amanda was very helpful in getting my part ordered and shipped to my home and taking care of the parts that I had picked up in your accessories area. I would like to take this opportunity to say "THANK YOU" to your whole store. I would like to thank the service department, parts department, and sales department for making me and my family feel very welcome in your store and treated with respect the entire time we were in your store. I just wanted to let you know that I was extremely appreciative of the service I had received by your associate, Cathy Kleckner. When I had called in before the Memorial Day Weekend Holiday with a concern with my flooring on my trailer, I had spoken to Cathy and she exhibited outstanding customer service manors. She quickly attended to my needs only to have Service Director Chris Dietrich contact me to assure me that any work that was needed would be done in a professional and speedy manor. This quick note is to let you know how well Lori and Jeff are taking care of your customers and your interests. We were moments away from completing a transaction on renting a Class C RV with one of your competitors, when I got a sick feeling in my stomach about the way the transaction was going. At that last minute, we decided to contact Lori and rent her only available unit which was one of the Damon Daybreak 35' Class A motor homes. Although the unit from General was more expensive than your competition, I could tell from talking to Lori that she'd been through the process (successfully) many times and knew what questions we were going to have. I didn't need to ask 99% of the questions that I had in mind because she'd answered them all in presenting the information to me.

Her professionalism and pleasant demeanor comes through extremely well on the phone which prompted us to rent with General. She had everything ready and waiting for us when we met her in person the morning of our rental. The hand-off from Lori to Jeff was seamless. Jeff took us outside and walked us through the unit before we set out on the road. He did a very complete walk around showing us every item that we might end up using. When we returned to the dealership on Friday morning, Jeff took care of us right away, doing a quick walk around to make sure everything was ready for the return.

I've worked at several auto dealerships and have sold a variety of products which relied heavily upon strong customer support. You have a great staff, which will in the long run, make you and the dealership quite successful. Thank you for your great service.

We started our search for the perfect RV for our retirement about 15 months ago. We narrowed it down to the Winnebago View and the Four Winds Sprinter. The "U" shaped dinette sold my wife. We went to your dealership in White Lake and talked to Ron Harding. I was surprised to find your company was price competitive and although we had a few rough spots, we made a deal. I just purchased an RV at your Wayland store and felt compelled to tell you what a great experience it was. I'm from Washington State and my company will be in Michigan building a new gas refining plant for a number of months. I have spent some time looking at RVs in Washington and came away from that experience feeling like RV dealers were like used car sales operations. I'm sure that you realize General RV is far from that. General RV's well-oiled machine and employees must be making your operation very successful even in these tough economic times. My first evening in Michigan, I got on the internet and sent an inquiry to General RV. By mid-morning I received a call from Mike Damico who was very interested in answering any and all questions that I had. I discussed a few issues with him and told him that I was interested in looking at a trailer at the Wayland store, but had limited time. He told me that he would call Bruce the sales manager at the Wayland store and let him know that I was going to be there that afternoon. We all know how that usually works out! I walked in the store and asked for Bruce and he was there and understood what I was looking for and that I had limited time. As a company owner, I knew he really didn't have time and told him to put me with one of his sales people. He introduced me to Paul Barager. What a gem! Keep him happy. He most definitely knows how to work with people. We looked at a few trailers and I let Paul know that I would contact him in the AM with what I was going to do. I called Paul this morning and told him what I wanted to do and when I would be there. I arrived at the store and they were already working on the trailer. I signed the paperwork and the deal was done. Tomorrow morning I'm on a plane back to Washington and feel very confident that when I get back in ten days everything will be ready and I can hook up and get to the job site. I felt compelled to let you know that you have one great operation and you don't just have employees, you have people that are very concerned about the success of the company. We would like to make special mention of your delivery driver, Frank. He did a great job in the most adverse conditions. The night before delivery we had two inches of rain. In our RV shopping we found your consignment lot in Birch Run. As part of the service you offer your shop tested all gas appliances-a test that would not have been done if we bought from a third party!!! During that inspection the furnace malfunctioned and caught fire. NO DAMAGE OCCURRED. The 3rd party seller listed this unit "AS IS" and we are very glad you tested it prior, we are awaiting an answer to our new offer tothe third party seller.

We had an issue where we bought a 2007 Starcraft Centennial 3606, at your camper show Oct. of 2006. Along with loads of accessories, we bought an add-a-room to go with the camper. We camped for two seasons and I never got around to using the add-a-room, even though we had it with us. I’d bring the tools along thinking I’d get around to installing the hardware one day, but lounging around drinking beer always seemed like a better idea. Go figure? Anyway, this fall when I went to Winterize the camper I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and install the add-a-room. I found that the room had a big chunky zipper, but the camper was delivered with the Velcro style awning. I called to see what you would do about it, expecting bad news. So we come to my reason for emailing you. I ended up working with Don in your parts department. He was incredibly helpful and performed his job very well, including excellent follow-up! This really goes a long way with me.

Wade, Thank you for coming to our resue while we were on the road this week. The pople at Mt. Clemens were greatevery one of them. We were treated with respect and like we were important to them. Everyone seemed like they were all on the same page from the get go. I have to give Rick 5 stars! He was the best guy to work with. He went MORE than the extra mile to make sure we were all set to go. There were other warranty issues we asked about and he addressed every one of them without hesitation. We didn't expect him to, but he did. He fixed every problem we had and he had the best attitude about it all. He is definitley a keeper! Don't lose this guy to anyone! Everything went off without a hitch. I brought my daughter with me as she wanted an adventure. We love our Jayco and the service we received was excellent... Thank you. The trailer is beautiful as you said, with lots of room for our family. We are getting ready to move it north to our permanent campsite on Friday. The planning has already started inside "The Creaming Eagle" (that's our name for the trailer now) to make it our own. I own an RV and tow car that are equipped with the Smart Tire System. I needed a replacement for the sensor on my tow car. I went to the Smart Tire website looking for dealers. They had you company listed. I went to your website and found that your Wayland, MI store was on my route in Michigan. I called the store and was eventually connected to Carol in the parts department. She was very helpful. Several days later, I called her again and she explained that after several calls Smart Tire never responded to her calls. I found a source for the parts and called her again. We talked for a few minutes. She said that she would talk to her service department and contact the other stores to see who the ability to repair and reprogram the system. If she found someone who could do it in the time frame that I have available, she would email to me the information. Carol was always very pleasant and helpful on the phone. Her efforts went beyond just doing her job. Thank you.

Just want to thank you for your time and patience with Sally and myself last Friday. I would never admit that I was nervous when Sally took the coach for her test drive but you made her comfortable and now I can't get her out of the driver's seat. I want to give Jim, at the Wayland location, in your service department kudos for the great service he provided us when we needed service on our camper. I had the wrong time the service department was open and arrived an hour early. The shop was dark, but Jim was at his desk working. When Jim saw us he let us in the shop and insisted on taking care of us. Jim could have had us wait until the shop opened, but he didn't. Jim should be commended on going the extra mile for his customers. It is because of Jim that we will buy our next RV at General.

Just wanted to give one of your employees a pat on the back. We took deliver this morning of a new motor home from your Mt Clemens lot. Darryl walked us through the coach one step at a time. I want you to know that Darryl did a very good job. This is the seventh new motor home that we've purchased (the fifth one from you) so we know what to expect when picking up a new motor home. Darryl was one of the best techs we've ever had. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in going over the coach with us. It was a pleasure talking with him. I also have to mention John Demick. We've always dealt with John in the past and frankly he is why we keep coming back. He has always bent over backward to make our buying experience a good one.
